As I sit here on a Wednesday night writing this pastors note to go in the bulletin on Sunday, I am reminded of the 40 days of fasting and prayer we are in the middle of right now.

As we go into August, we continue to REFRESH our souls by immersing ourselves in prayer. In Jesus prayer for us he sets the tone for us to be refreshed:

This month we begin the new missional strategy plan to accomplish our goals. The first segment of this is called Refresh. During this segment of our strategy we will focus on refreshing our souls, minds, relationships, purposes in the Kingdom of God. We will specifically focus on the discipline of prayer during this time.

As we begin the month of June, we will be finishing up the series on "A Flourishing Christian Life".

As we go into May, it is that time of the year where reports are due for all the departments of the church, all the staff and local ministers and every pastor across our district.

We begin April with April Fools Day falling on the same day as Easter. Since 1700, April 1st and Easter have fallen on the same day only 11 times. Since 1700 many things have changed dramatically in our world.

As we begin the month of March, we are still in transition! God is adjusting us as we have followed him into the second service model. Already, God has brought us new people, and has met with us in ways perhaps we have not expected.
